Visit the Zanskar River
This frozen river is one of the most breath-taking views in the world. You don’t just look at it either, you can actually trek up this river when it is frozen solid. This is an amazing way to spend the day and it’s a side of the country that many people never see.
Located in Ladakh, this river stretches for miles. There are some fantastic sights in the region too, so you won’t want to miss a trip to this area.
Shop in GaliParantheWali
If you’re a foodie then you won’t want to miss the chance to visit this lane in Delhi. Here, you’ll find food beyond your wildest dreams, as the street food is brilliant. Some of the small stalls and restaurants you can eat at on this street have been serving food for over a century!
They tend to offer very traditional foods, parathas are very common here. This is a kind of stuffed bread, which can have all different kinds of fillings. You can explore this street and eat for a small amount of money, while still having an amazing experience.
Mountain Bike in Munnar

Chand Baori Stepwell
This area in Abhaneri looks almost like an MC Escher artwork, with stairs leading off in every direction. It was originally created as a well to draw water, but it’s incredibly ornate. It’s over 1200 years old and still stands in fantastic condition thanks to the efforts of conservationists.
The well descends for 30 meters, with more than 3500 steps leading down into the reserve. While some guidebooks speak of this as a water tank, nothing could be further from the truth! It’s actually a major landmark and an area well worth visiting.
The sculptures and carvings that line the walls are fantastic to view in person. Entry to the area is free, though you can choose to leave a tip for the caretaker if you would like.
India is a varied and interesting country, with many experiences to be had. If you’re planning on visiting, these are the experiences that you shouldn’t miss!
